YourTechQ Youth Leaders

Portland, OR Chapter

Jiya Mehta

Hi, I’m Jiya! I’m a junior at Catlin Gabel and I am the co-founder of a tennis non-profit that helps underprivileged kids learn how to play tennis. I enjoy playing tennis and I am a part of the varsity tennis team at my school. I am so excited to volunteer with YourTechQ and help the community with the usage of common technology to bridge the digital gap.  I hope to continue to work on this, as well as show how technology can help the world for the better.

Aadya Vemulapalli

Hi, I am Aadya! I am a junior at Jesuit High School. I have been skiing from the age of five years old and have been playing piano for the past nine years. I have loved exploring technology since I was a little kid and am eager to volunteer with YourTechQ to connect generations with the use of technology. I look forward to seeing how technology will advance in a world of opportunity.

Ahana Naskar

“Hi, I’m Ahana! I am a Junior at Jesuit High School. I’ve been playing the violin for nine years and am a member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony’s Symphony Orchestra. I also dedicate my time to volunteering as a violin instructor for elementary students through Project Prelude. For the past two years, I've had the privilege of serving as the President of the cc-TDI Junior Board. This role has allowed me to lead and collaborate with a group of dedicated individuals nationwide. Together, we have organized fundraisers and community events to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research. I look forward to volunteering with YourTechQ to help enable the elderly through technology.”

Emily Seo

Hello! I'm Emily, a sophomore at Jesuit High School. I've been playing the cello for 10 years. I've been a member of the Portland Youth Philharmonic since I was 8, and this year marks my 7th season, as well as my 4th year with the Philharmonic Orchestra. I also dedicate my time to volunteering with Project Prelude, where I teach music to young elementary students. During my leisure hours, I take pleasure in exploring the latest technological advancements and sharing my knowledge with friends and family. I'm thrilled to be volunteering with YourTechQ, as it allows me to facilitate the connection between communities and technology.

Atef Siddiqui

Hi, I am Atef, a sophomore at Catlin Gabel with a passion for helping seniors embrace technology. Through my involvement with YourTechQ, I hope to empower older individuals to navigate their devices with confidence. I realize that it is a privilege to have the expertise in coding and tech-related skills and I would like to help others who want to learn.

Besides volunteering, I swim, play squash, and enjoy hiking. Reading is also something I like to do. My grandparents live with us and this has given me a perspective on their technology needs and limitations. I understand the challenges seniors face and I am committed to bridging generational gaps using technology to bring people closer together
